So did I go to prom? Hell no. I was to busy with my date with Shadow.
People will tell you this game sucks but I've been a Sonic fan since my Sega Genesis I got the year it came out. Now Sega may be gone in the hardware department but they're still kick ass and taking names in their Sonic games.
I've thoroughly enjoyed Shadow the Hedgehog for PS2. All the classic features of Sonic are there plus you can use weapons.
Another main selling point is multiple story lines. There are some like 15 different ways to beat the game according to how you handle yourself(helping good, helping evil, or just screwing everybody over and getting the chaos emeralds for yourself).
