I've been analyzing the situation of not being able to keep role plays going for very long and I've come up with a theoretical solution. From what I see, RPs are abandoned because of lack of anything to do. I understand that sometimes you work more closely with certain people than everyone in the RP(please, no rambles about Iron Curtains, this applies to everyone).

However, I think that if Game Masters keep the role players in a tight knit group as possible, give everyone something to do, and keep everyone involved, we will probably have better sucess in role plays.

That's my $.10, and take it for what it's worth.

Hmm, sounds about right. You think we should try to revive a few or write completely new ones?

you forgot to mention the leavers. they usually jam the RP. someone important doesn't post and the RP goes down.

Is that why the rp with me, shadow and rei died? Also cool has a point, if someone goes its not just the captain that goes down with the ship, its everyone else who are kicking and screaming too.

Well, the only reason I didn't post in some rps was because there weren't things for me to do, as well as others in the rps I was in. You see, when there's nothing for a character to do in an RPG, then you start thinking, "Why bother posting here when there's nothing to post?"
