What is your favorite book that you must always have in your library and why is it your favorite?

As one can probably guess, I cannot live without a copy of "Alice in Wonderland" and "Through the Looking Glass" I like the two stories because everytime you read it through your life you notice something different as your understanding of the world around you changes.

The Lake House, Maximum Ride, When the Wind Blows, and Rainbow Six for their encouraging insight. Science and Evidense for Design in the universe and Darwin on Trial for the nerd side of me.

Then there's A Scanner Darkly and The Paycheck to challenge my way of thinking and outlook on the world

When the Wind Blows by James Patterson? ^^ I have that one, I love it.

But my favorite is the Book of D'ni (MYST). I just love trying to imagine how Terahnee would look.

My favorite for many years is James Michener's Sayonara. A tale of forbbidon love during the Korean War, between an american soldier & a japanese girl.

It gave me the view that love is unpredictable. Sometimes it hurts, sometimes it never lasts, but to be able to felt, it is enough to cherish with you.

Just recently the Horus Heresy books for my hobby have jumped to number one spot for my all time fav read. Unfortunately there are twelve books to be released and they've only done two so far. ><

These books give me an idea of what the universe in my hobby was like before everything went down the toilet.

Yup. Read The Lake House. It's epic. Better than the first. Also, check out the Maximum Ride series. Also very cool.

Yeah I think each book is written by a different author, I believe the series is split into 6 different parts, each part being made up of two books, but this is what i've been told by the store I go to, so it could be less in the long run. But the two books I've got are damn good reads in my opinion.

mine are Ink Heart 1 and 2. it's about a man and his daughter who can read things out of books, but there is a price. if u take something out then u must replace it with something and that can be anything. in the 2nd book the daught ends up going INTO the book to find someone. I'll stop right there cause i don't want to ruin it for everyone. Oh and i heard that they're makeing a movie out of it.
