I dunno about everyone else, but frankly I thought that The Wind Waker was quite a big dissappointment. Now it looks as if the boys at Nintendo HQ have got the right idea in their heads for what we really want in a Zelda game, based on what Nintendo has released.

If you haven't seen or heard about this game yet, here are some tidbits that were dredged up by my old pals at the ZeldaUniverse: http://www.zeldauniverse.net/content/view/235/220/

All in all, I have extremely high hopes for this game. The graphics are infinitely better than WW (Thank GOD), and the preview mentions alot of interesting new features, like direct horseback combat. In general, I'm willing to wait a shitload of time for them to finish this one, if it means that it turns out so much better than their last attempt.

WW wasn't that bad. Most people said it suck just because of the graphics and well *gives middle finger to all those graphic whiners EXCEPTS MMM AJ*.
I found it to be a pleasant and enjoyable game.

Ranting aside I plan on getting this one for sure along with Zelda DS

Well it was more than just the graphics that dissappointed me about WW, though they were a part. I was sad that they had to water the gameplay down so badly with endless, tedious sailing for hours on end. That got boring real fast, especially when I had to earn enough money to have all those maps translated. That was a real bitch. My main gripe was the idiotic way that they ended the game's storyline, but I really don't feel like ranting about that now.

Point is, TP is showing real promise and potential, and I'm beginning to feel the bite of anticipation, despite my resolve to wait however long it will take for them to make it and do a good job.

Ah well story wise i'll have to go with ya there. It was fun fighting against Ganondorf in a sword fight but it was to short a battle and it relied only on parrying to kick his arse.
