Battlefield 2 rant

Hi there, if time is valuable to you then I advice you to stop reading now!

Battlefield 2 is one of the few games that I enjoy playing, but there is one thing that really annoys me and that is the ak101. It doesn't look like that in real life, permit me to demonstrate:

AK's have a leaver on the side of the right of the rear sights this securers the gas piston tube. In battlefield it is in this position (see picture) with the leaver pointed up.

If the leaver was like that in real life (see picture) the leaver would get court on clothing and webbing and worse when fired the gas piston would nock the tube out of alignment and cause the rifle to jam.

But the thing that annoys me most that the person who modelled the gun made a decision to put it in that position and he could have missed out that detail because you cant see the leaver from that angle.

ah well, weapons in games are never realistic. good example is, american weapons always seem to be better than others, when it's hardly the truth IRL << (not all guns of course)

well it all to do with balance that msc but the modelling should be done right.. he musta got bored and swivled it up ^^ its funny when a p90 is accurate.. irl its a smg which means you hit shit =P but can strike cool poses when you do for those slow mos

well p90 is a bullpup gun so the barrel is pretty long despite appearance AND it has a larger caliber than most SMGs so the bullets are more accurate at longer distance. also, p90 isn't american design. it's belgium ;P

The P90 is what I call a fashionable gun; it has been made famous by Hollywood. The only real buyer of P90 is the Saudis. I do agree that computer games make some gun more accurate and others less accurate then they are in real life, I be leave that because games companies have to have permission from the gun companies to use the gun in the game so the gun companies use the game as an advertisement for their product.
