Ok so I am sure many of you have runned to a "Iron curtain" situations on many forums? a quite inevitable event. it is a situation where a forum forms a "inner society" meaning bunch of regular posters, one's that allways must ensure that they have posted something on Every single thread on the forum no matter that they even wouldn't have actually any interest or real opinion of the thread that they are posting on. then when that bunch of people gets used to see only each others posts everywhere they become distand friends and thus forming a "inner society" and so the "Iron curtain" situation is where a forum has formed it's society, and the bunch of distant friends are no longer interested to read what new people that are strangers or "outsiders" have to say, and simply ignore their opinions and postings etc. and they do not accept new members to their inner society That is what i like to call A Iron curtain situation which leaves many forums so that they have like 200 registered users but only something like 30 of them post regulary something and also leaving many lonely locked threads to the forums one's that have been started by these outsiders to the inner society.

Sound familiar?..

I only post in forums where I feel my unneeded opinion should be stuck in

Course your unneeded opinion usually ends up providing us with either more knowledge or a good laugh

there's another forum I go to currently which is the TigersDen and I'm starting to feel that way, like the outsider. Not that I post in every single forum but when I do it's just ingored and it makes me abit sad. But at least I feel welcome here ^^

personally I really hate cliques. It's too bad they exist even in the net as well as outside.

Ever wonder why I stay clear of MySpace and want to leave dA?

It's human nature. I don't post for the sake of getting my post count up or spreading my name everywhere. There is a reason that half of my posts here are "discussions" with Mewrei about computers ;)

I have an excuse for high post count. I'm an admin XD. Though I must say those "discussions" really are informative.

And Ki, you're not missing anything. MySpace sux

i agree, myspace sucks. and i post whenever i have something to say, not because i want to show on statistics. I post a lot in the chat too and the chat doesn't have a post-counter. So that proves it (if someone has a hard time believing that i'm not an attention whore)

We know ya not Coolio, and if it's posts that prove attention-whoreness then I'm a hermit cause I'm quiet lately @_@

Isn't it fascinating how also this thread is full of post from all those who are most commonly seen posting to this entire forum only. . .

Probably because we're the only ones who are interested in this topic and feel like commenting. People here only post in topics that interest them. Least thats what i've seen

isn't it fascinating how it seems like you're intentionally trying to cause arguments? some people just are more active than others. simple as that. if nobody posted this would be a dead site. is that what you want?

NO! of course not! i am just worried that this might happen here without nobody really noticing it by themselves. I am not complain here. i am trying to give a sort of a "warning" i have seen this thing happen too many times now... it would be pity if this place would suffer the same fate.

The fact of the matter is, the Mewtwo fanbase of this kind of fandom is dominated by peoples aged about 15-25. That domination is predominantly students all of which are busy with school and other projects. We don't have any lazy bums that sit around posting all day....minus me of course.

To me, most of the members of this place join then don't post or many do post then just bugger off because they've grown bored of mewtwo. On occasions I have become a tad bored with mewtwo but I still come here because I can get a good laugh talking to people. I really don't see an Iron Curtain situation cropping up here, if a person makes a comment most of us will look it over and comment our selves, unless of course its just some idiot whos bitching.
I can understand that many people have jobs and education stuff to do so don't get much time, but again I really can't see how you've managed to see an Iron Curtain, yeah you had a bad encounter when you first arrived but thats just cool, no offense cool :P
If you post they will reply its that simple. ^^

I never really claimed that (this) forum right here would have a iron curtain situation or that one would be coming (here)
constantly so misunderstood... *mumble*
But if people see it as picking a quarrel then "i close my case" u_U

no offence taken Orgun.
And i'm facinated by good arguments, they're so educational and amusing =) shame that most people don't share my point of view and just get mad and leave. =P

aanyway, i'm done here.

I simply don't post here because I hate arguments and try to avoid them as much as possible. Ever think of that?

emsiecat

I don't get involved in arguements unless I'm needed for admin reasons. I like class debates on topics of interest but arguements in general peeve me.

Oh and BTW Icarus the swastika remark is not needed, name calling and referring people here to 'evil' is not funny nor is it looked over.

Ok this topic is through. No more, I'm closing it.
