I'd really like to see the Japanese version. I received the English version from Ant about 2 years ago, but for some reason I didn't join the temple back then. I didn't rediscover it till June of this year.

There's the one that came with Mewtwo Returns, and the Radio Drama. I've never heard the radio drama, only read the translation.

Couple of things. Me uploading the English version would almost certainly violate just about every copyright law in the US. Japanese version is a possibility as well since Nintendo is also here in America.

Second, the file is around 2 gigs. It would take me literally days to upload it to the server then it would chew my bandwidth like a cow chews cud.

2 gigs? The birth of mewtwo only takes up about 50 MB on my comp. The whole movie might take up 2 gigs.

H.264 it, and have links to QuickTime 7 or QT Alternative.

What about bittorrent? We'd need someone to volunteer to seed it for awhile, but then anyone who wanted the movie could slowly get it at their connection speed's pace.

All that aside, there is STILL the copyright law. I WORK in a law office so I know what it says. Frankly I'd probably have my ass sued into the ground within a month. And they'd probably come after all of you as well.

My version is full quality so thats why its 2 gigs.

As far as I know, The Birth of Mewtwo is on the Mewtwo Returns DVD. I've watched it in English, and I've found it interesting. In fact, I have the animation from the movie (someone on another Mewtwo-related site gave it to me) where Baby Mewtwo is crying as Aitwo (Amber in the English version) is dying. As for having the Japanese or English versions on this site, I believe it would violate copyright laws. So I'm saying no to having those two versions of the movie here.

I'm beginning to believe that Nintendo wouldn't mind.

We've seen Ctrl+Alt+Del. They use MANY copyrighted names and images yet Buckley still sells his comics in a book without being prosecuted.

I might do it on a trial basis, slap Nintendo's name everywhere, and hope for the best.

More than likely they would ask me to take it down first. IT costs ALOT of money to sue somebody. I know, my dad is a lawyer. I don't think they're interested in nailing a small scale site like this with a single video that probably encourages purchasing of their product.
