I have seen many final year art students create work as good as that.

You should have a look at a plugin called AfterBurn, it can create some spectacular effects and it cuts render time.

Thanks for the compliment. Problem is I have limited funds for 3d stuff. Most of my pocket goes into stuff for M2R or other web stuff.
