~Chapter 1 Lost and Found~

~5 years later after the incident at New Island~

"Hey, Alex! Where the hell are we going?"

"Do I have to tell you again and again? We're looking for my dad's last experiment. It says here that the experiment was on that island, but that explosion blew it somewhere here."

"Is it that important to skip our double date just for this?!" he retorted as he almost slipped of a rock. The two humans were in the middle of a huge forest that was connected to the ocean. The one named Alex, was the son of one of the scientists who helped create Mewtwo. Apparently he was working on the secret project. Not to mention he somehow survived the explosion when Mewtwo had escaped. The other one, Taiko, wasn't very interested in this search. He could care less about the experiment, since he wanted to go on that date.

Alex had his eyes glued onto the diary and wa fascinated by how they created this project. His father had taken the Mew fossil and scanned it's DNA quickly in his computer and began work on it.

"It had taken as long as it was to create Mewtwo, and was probably just a strong," Alex thought to himself.

He continued to read a few sentences and looked back to look for his friend.

"C'mon, Taiko! Don't be so slow!!"

"Shut up! I hate this place! It's filled with rocks and bugs and...and.....woah!" Alex looked in the direction his friend gazed and stared at it in awe.

The forest's enviroment had diminished and the grassy floor had become sandy. The trees had disappeared and were replaced by giant palm trees, and the sun shone as bright as day. The water rushed up against the sand. Wingull flew above them and flew in circles. It had looked like they had entered a new world.

Alex was the first to recover from his trance when he noticed a round object, buried in the sand. His mind raced as he wondered what it could've been. Was it the experiment? Or was it just something else? He had to know. He left his friend behind and ran up to the object and began digging frantically. Taiko finally noticed what his friend was doing and ran over to help.

"Alex, do you really think this is the project?" asked Taiko.

"Yeah, at least I hope it is. Now let's keep going!"

They both nodded and continued. It seemed like the more they dug, the more it sank.

"Huh...what the crap?" exclaimed Taiko. Something shifted in the sand. Suddenly a Corphish popped out of the sand and it's claw was latched onto the capsule.

"Hey you! Let go of this! It's very important! So please, let go!" said Alex. Both Taiko and Alex grabbed onto the capsule and pulled, but the Corphish was strong and refused to let go.

They played Tug-o-War for a few minutes before the Corphish decided to give up the roud object and let go. As it let go, the two humans flew back from the force of their pulling. They both hit the ground hard and were dazed for a few seconds before recouperating. Alex excitedly grabbed the capsule and searched for an opening.

"How the heck can you open this thing?"

Taiko chuckled and grabbed the otherside of the capsule.

"C'mon, pull you girl!" shouted Taiko.

Alex ignored the name and pulled. They both pulled with all of their strength, but it didn't seem enough. They both sat on the floor, exhausted.

"Holy crap, this thing is hard to open," said Taiko between breaths.

"How are we gonna open this damn thing?" Alex sighed and walked over to Taiko with his father's diary.

Alex and Taiko searched for the any sign in the diary of a way to open the capsule. But that wasn't necessary, for the capsule began to open, slowly but it was opening. A white gas was released form the opening and poured out. Alex was startled and Taiko was astonished. As the gas began to clear, a small figure laid in the sand. It was a small creature; a small tail, silver fur, tiny ears and arms; long legs.

"Woah...what is it?" asked Taiko. Alex shrugged.

"Maybe it'll say in my dad's diary." He quickly opened his father's diary, read through a few pages, flipped a few more pages and read.

"Look, it says here that this is one the pokemon that were cloned from that Mew fossil. One was named Mewtwo and this one's name was..." Alex trailed off as he looked at the capsule. He walked over to it and began searching for words or numbers or something. He searched the outside and the inside of the capsule, finding numbers and letters and pieceing the together. Taiko sat by impatiently.

"I-I think I found it's name. Project number 56228...SHIRO," said Alex. He placed a hand on the plaque with the numbers and it began to open. Pressure was released and Shiro was beginning to wake up.

Taiko suddenly just ran over to him.

"Hey! What are you doing?" asked Alex.

"You know, I don't give a shit about it's name, I'm catching it!" yelled Taiko. Alex was dumbstruck.

"Wh-what do you mean you're going to catch it!? This thing could be as dangerous as the experiment who escaped! Hey!!!!" he yelled.

Suddenly, something flew right past him and back into the forest, then two Mightyena after it.

"Taiko, what the hell are you doin'?!"

"Shut up! I'm catching that thing and givin' it to my boss! I'll get that huge reward if it's the last thing I do! Don't even try to stop me, Alex, old friend!" retorted Taiko.

As he laughed, Alex fell back onto the sand.

"I can't believe it...I led him to my dad's project so he could steal it...Aww, I'm such a fool!" he told himself. He closed his eyes for a moment before running into the forest himself. Taiko yelled a curse and flew in right after Alex.

The forest looked so different now, it was though they had never entered. Alex weaved his way between trees and large rocks as he searched for the pokemon, at the same time keeping his distance from Taiko. Alex was on the verge of angry tears from the sudden change in his friend, but that's another story. He continued searching throughout the forest, following the barks of the Mightyena and the cries from Shiro.

"Oh, why did I let this happen? I feel so...stupid!" he shouted. His shout reverberated through the forest, and probably let Taiko knew where he was, so he fled from his spot. Suddenly, a Mightyena slammed him from behind and knocked Alex out. Taiko stood triumphantly behind Alex.

"So, little buddy, this was where you were hiding...Okay, Mightyena! Take him to base!" ordered Taiko.

His Mightyena nodded and picked up Alex, then ran to the North. Taiko had a stern look on his face as he stared down the path his Mightyena took.

"Heh, hope he doesn't hate me too much," he said under his breath. Now he had to focus on the "fugitive".

So he ran off after his second Mightyena, maybe he's caught Shiro already.

*Author's Note* After this point and Chapter 1, Shiro will be used in first person.

"What's happening? Why is this thing chasing me? Did I do something bad?" I asked myself as I flew across a clearing.

I felt so alive and...it seemed as though I haven't moved at all since...well...forever. The only moving I'm doing now is running. I still didn't understand why that pokemon was chasing me. I don't think I ever will. The forest seemed so vast and stretched on for miles, the trees were so tall that when you looked up you saw more trees. I looked back and saw noone. The pokemon that had chased me must've lost my path.

"Phew...I wonder where I am," I said aloud.

My reply was a low growl and three pairs of yellow eyes that appeared in the darkness of the bushes in front of me. I began to panick and tried to run the other way, but the only thing I met was a large rock, and you'd better believe it hurt. I went face-first into it and fell on my back. Soon I remembered the figure behind the bush. The Mightyena was back...and he brought friends.
