It seems that the board is slopping on new sections without paying attention to the overall layout and organization. It would be much easier to organize like this:
High Tower - Admin announcements
Suggest & Sufferage - Combine the two since they're related
Temple Gates - Main area
Temple Yards - Roleplay
Drawing Board - Obvious
Sacrificial Chamber - Flame on
Hall of Writing - Include the Beginning of War and The First Test inside here because that would make sense
Bedchambers - Adult section
Character Profiles

I've been meaning to do that for the past month.
I'll try and get to it tomorrow

Wow, I didn't find this at all hard to find what I'm looking for while I'm on the borad, I don't know why others are having problems as well too, I like the way you tries to use "Temple Gates & Temple Yards" insted of using something blunt and dull, but what ever floats your boat I guess, still it is a shame that you have to change them...

I think the current descriptions are fine, makes it seem more like a real place, if you know what I mean.

Message boards are designed to logically organize a themselves into sections with a clear understanding of what that section is. What we have right now is something that was assembled to just get it done. Why the section SUGGESTION BOX is in all uppercase when the others are not is beyond me. Might seem insignificant to some, but Mewrei sounds like he has ambitious plans, before he starts expanding he should simplify what he already has. I can't even find a link to ToM on his main webpage.
And I used Temple Gates & Temple Yards because that's what was already there. Not sure what else you meant.

CAD, I can't do much with this forum because a large portion of the sorce code is encrypted. I know variables because I monitor the MySQL logs.
The main page is coming down soon. Again, I'm pushed for time to get everything done.
You'll like the new system. It makes better use of relational data.

You can't modify forums with this message board? Shit, phpBB is better than that...

I'm not keen on phpBB personally, I don't like the layout structures they have much.

PHPBB has some major security flaws in it because its offered open source.

Being open source does not make major security flaws.

But it means hackers have open view to the source code and can see those flaws very easily.
Its very suceptable to MySQL injections.

Which means nothing. Open source is open for critique by anyone and gets refined more often than closed source. A hacker that can see the source code may hack it, but more often the hole gets fixed (and rather quickly). Closed source does not protect insecure software (look at IE6).

Look at PHPBB vs Invision Power Board v2 and vBulletin

Look at the vulnerabilities of Apache and IIS. Apache wins.

Apache vs. Oracle or JRun
I'm not saying Open Source is nessesarily horrible. I'm just saying PHPBB isn't as good as what we're running right now as far as security goes.
Stuff that you have to pay for is usually better though. Exceptions still lie like AVG Anti-Virus and Ad-Aware/Spybot Search and Destroy

I dunno, that generalization depends on the person. I prefer Wikipedia over Encarta.
