Hi hi, I'm Shiguya: kinda poked about this place by Fangirl and some guy, and finally sick of being an ass and actually check it out. Lessie here... no, I'm not really a Mewtwo fan, as he's a bit overdone by the worst of the fans (I'm not about to point fingers here, as I'm sure most of the members have sharp teeth, but... you see things, hear things, and endure things over time, you know?), but the prospect of finding somewhere to relax and take a few masks off won me over. Heh, that and the chance to see another side of things (hopefully a better one than scavenging a few art/story sites) is appealing as well.

Oh yeah, about me. Umm... truth be told, I don't want to say much about myself... no sense in letting everything out, just to vanish again, right? That, and it's not like there's much to say... I do a bit of fanfiction writing (not Mewtwo, so that's a dead point), umm... yeah, that's all I've got. *flees*

... see, this is why visiting new forums is fun. Each one reacts differently to an introduction, and has its own charms for it. Oh, starting with the replies since I haven't been around in a few. Lessie here...

@Orgun: Strangeness is a thing of life, despite a majority of society trying to say otherwise. What's the point in being a drone, when even the smallest quirks can make you stand out in a crowd? Granted, I know roughly what kind of strangeness you're eluding to, and believe me... aside from some things that do get to me, it takes a lot to seem strange these days. Oh, and as I've had contact with a pair of the members here (Fangirl and whosits... Lucario-must-die guy), I've had a nice Mewtwo fanism shock treatment... granted, it's not the worst thing I've run across/been into, but it was a fun one. Anyway, I'm not trying to say that the Mewtwo fandom is bad (just some of the F-tards who are a part of it, that's all), as aside from the one I talk with semi-regularly tested positive for rabies last check-up, the following is pretty level.

On the same token, I honestly can't call myself a fan, nor will I fake it (for more than a few posts, depending on what the situation calls for) as Fangirl can call me on it (and probably would just because). Yeah, I'm still working that stick out, but having a chance to do this alone (and annoy Fangirl while I'm at it) is helping a lot: makes you wonder if any of the other pocket fans (as in ones who lean toward a particular character more than others) can bridge the gap a certain game caused, or if it'll still be a rocky one?

Beyond that, I might as well try to be a bit more open about things, eh? Let's see... I've been writing fanfiction for about eight years now... well crap, it's been that long? Wow... time really does fly on raven wings, doesn't it? Anway, I've been at it on and off since around high school, which is about the time I first discovered Pokemon (and built a few friendships that have lasted just as long... heh, it's something you don't think about much, is it (unless it was something dramatic in your life, that you now hold onto in the darker times)? Okay, back on track... again. Sure, most of my early attempts suck, but not everyone can pick up a pencil and turn out a masterpiece with no experience, even though it IS possible. Anyway, I need to stop getting distracted and finish rambling. Okay... let's see... well, aside from being pretty much an unknown (maybe it's because I'm not super vocal, or have a large group of... anyone that cares, or maybe my titles and summaries blow... no way to tell really, I still plink away at this game. I'm not really sure that matters around here, as I have one Mewtwo fic started (a single chapter, and little prospect within the next year or so of giving a damn to continue it), I've finished up about a half dozen shorts, started three or four series (depends if you want to base it on fanfiction.net or agnph.com), and someday will connect everything together under a single umbrella character. Heh, I'm still on step one, but slowly making my way toward step two.

Aside from that, I work a pretty braindead job, still dream of becoming an accountant or something similar as a career, wonder on and off if I should just stop bothering people and become a drone of society, and hide behind a character I created in college for all my online activities (which does NOT include RP'ing), and generally living each day with an inner grin (unless work kicked me around a bit, which turns that to a frown until I can unwind again). Hmm... is that it... yeah, I think that about caps off everything I'd say about myself at this time.

@Fangirl: Yes. Yes, that is my nickname for you until you can prove otherwise. And, going by your recent track record, you have a long road to getting your 'real' name back.

I gave up my sanity the day I started writing stories worthy of being agnph fodder, so unless this place has things (or trolls) worse than that, it should be pretty smooth sailing. That, and I like small communities: it's a smaller task to get to know the few members who are around, along with figuring out who bites... and in Fangirls case, who has rabies. Plus, hanging around a focused fan board could be a good experience: gain some deeper insight on the characters, aside from a lot of the idiotic author/artist things that are posted on larger sites... though, it's already proving difficult to find anything better in the writers archive... oh well, I'll just have to keep digging then.

Well Im going to post here and get a warning off the mods but this has to be said.
Shiguya to me your coming across as a grade A prick, Ive just looked over your posts in the fiction section and you've gone way beyond the boundries of a critic. People here respect any tips or hints to help improve, what they don't need is some know-it-all n00b coming in and totally destroying their creation being it good or bad.
Plus Aeris shouldn't have to put up with that nickname, it may amuse a simple mind like yours but it sure as fuck doesn't amuse me.

agreed with orgun here, if you just came here to (poorly) critisize other peoples' fics without even knowing them, after showing up and announcing you're not even a mewtwo fan (this is a mewtwo FAN page you know), i have to ask, why did you bother?

no need for that if you behave from now on, we don't usually banish people straight if they're not fans, since they obviously have some curiosity towards the fandom or they wouldn't join and there aren't exactly tons of us in line, waiting to get in, so we can't really be picky =P

I screwed up, and as part of the consequences, I'm preparing myself for the backlash of it (which includes insults, which Orgun started). Yes, I'm both stubborn and an idiot, not a great combination to let loose when you're new somewhere and not smart enough to keep your mouth shut about things. *sigh* What I don't get is why you're bothering?
