haku was created by an Elder God names Lein. His main purpose was to be a toy for lein but he revealed later on that he wanted haku to kill leins race. Haku tired of being tortured and killed constantly ran away from lein and found the Temple on his escape route

Hakaryu is about 4,8 the mew dna keeps him short and he inherits mews playfulness and couriosity. He is pretty light for his age he weighs 50 pounds but he is not anorexic nor does he look it.
Hakaryu found the temple when he was flying around the world.
