"So what's the plan?"
"Plan?" Liana echoed.
"Yeah y'know; find out how to stop the creatures from the Gods Realm, defeat your evil uncle, change Mewtwo from psychic bad-boy to docile kitten and live happily ever after?"
"Have you been drinking sake again?"
Liana sent the shorter woman a look as she rubbed soap in her hair. The pair was using one of the castle's hot springs. It served as just a good a reason to gossip as it did to get clean. Wigglytuff and Vulpix had joined them and were splashing about on the other side of the small pool.
Lucinda had appraised the plumbing of the fortress. Somehow Mewtwo had used water from various water sources on the island whilst still retaining a few of the original hot springs.
"Nope, no alcohol needed just plain idiocy!" Lucinda answered with a grin.
Liana muttered a retort along the lines of 'at least she admits it' before answering Lucinda's question. "One; I have no idea how we can stop these creatures. Two; I don't want to have to face my uncle again, ever. Three; The only way Mewtwo would ever become anything other than a megalomaniac is if you got him high on a ton of Skitty brand cat-nip."
"Think that'd actually work on him?"
"No Luce, I don't."
The pair finished in the hot spring and left with the clones who were shaking water from their fur. They looked from one girl to another as they chatted like spectators at a tennis match.
"So have you tried it yet?"
"Will you stop talking in riddles and ask a straight question?"
"Shape shifting. Have you tried turning into the aforementioned megalomaniac? It could be fun. He's powerful as heck; you'd be unstoppable if you turned into him." Lucinda struck a dramatic pose whilst towel drying her hair, which made it resemble hedgehog's quills more than ever.
"You know I can't. As you said he's powerful. I bet if I turned into him I'd just transform straight back, either that or some other weird side effect."
Lucinda looked a bit put out. "So, what is the plan, Liana? You know we can't just leave things as they are."
"I know. Let's take some time to think on it. Hopefully Mewtwo's generous mood will last long enough for us to think up something before he turns the two of you into deep fried humans for his clones to eat."
Lucinda winced. "Thanks for that charming mental image."

It took Liana a day or two of serious thought to decide on a plan. To be honest the word 'plan' didn't really describe it. It was more of a desperate hope. Whilst reading through a selection of Mewtwo's books (while secretly trying to find something on the enigmatic clone's creation as well) Liana chanced upon an old scroll full of information about old legends and pacts that had been made with the Gods.
While she was reading through it, it struck Liana that the Gods must not realize that creatures were being taken from their realm. However it was their duty and part of the pact they had made with humans that they would keep the creatures in their realm so long as humans and Pokémon still worshipped them.
If such was the case then it would be the Gods duty to aid the humans in returning the creatures back to the Gods Realm wouldn't it? With this thought in mind Liana approached her human companions and Mewtwo that night with her idea.
"You want us to go to the temple on the mainland to try and strike up a bargain with one of the Gods? Are you stupid or just plain crazy!?" It was Rhys who voiced this not-so-humble opinion.
"Liana nobody has ever done that, not in our lifetime at least." Lucinda backed Rhys up with an uncharacteristically quiet comment.
"Messing with the Gods is dangerous. They'll take your words literally and they'll expect payment for a service. I've read up on these things, these pacts!"
"And I haven't? Rhys I know what I'm doing. This is worth a shot."
Rhys growled in agitation at the young woman who stood defiantly before him. Mewtwo felt his own chest vibrate with a slight rumble of its own. He glared at Rhys. The whelp was pushing his luck. Rhys heard the soft warning growl and took a step back from Liana shaking his head.
"You're mad if you think the Gods won't be unreasonable in this, especially if it's Ho-Oh who appears."
Ho-Oh was infamous amongst human worshipers for being a God who was aloof, unreasonable, and who demanded high imbursement for his help.
"Just trust me on this, okay? You don't have to come if you're too afraid."
Mewtwo smirked as Liana's thinly veiled barb worked. The other humans looked scandalized and opened their mouths in shock.
"W-we never said… we wouldn't dream of…" Rhys sputtered incoherently.
"You can't do this alone." Lucinda said evenly. "We're coming with you."
Liana smiled and turned to Mewtwo, who for once, seemed to have been forgotten.
"Mewtwo, this concerns Pokémon as much as humans. Will you be joining us?"
Mewtwo looked taken-aback. On the one hand he couldn't. It would be helping the race he detested the most. On the other Liana was right. These creatures would be harming more than just humans. After all humans couldn't be trusted with a mission as important as asking the Gods for assistance, they'd botch it up somehow. He would go.
He gave a small nod before turning back to the book he had with him. Liana grinned a little at this small victory as her two friends began to argue quietly against Mewtwo joining them.
"Plan?" Liana echoed.
