Right Im going to rant here even though I've been advised not to by a mod. Please no wise ass or witty remarks from anyone, even mods.
Anyway, Im putting this thread up because Im starting to get somewhat annoyed at the lack of respect some members have for one another or their attitude. More often then not a fight starts just because someone miss-read something or took it the wrong way, then the whole thread turns into a flame war. Now what really bugs me is that these members who I won't name seem to be content or too stupid to take their argument to this area which is what its designed for.
Maybe I've been raised differently but if an argument starts is it not a wise decision to simply leave it and forget it? As it often seems it turns into a contest to see who has the bigger dick, which is bloody annoying for a former mod to watch.
Now sorry to use this as an example but the Yutu vs Boris thread is one such event that could have easily been prevented if any of the members involved just shut up.

One more thing if any members decides that they want to put a defense up here for how they acted or decide to rant at me over how horrible I am go ahead, this is how I feel and if members continue to act this way I will continue to think of them as idiots.

Orgun, it's as I said, it's practically human nature to argue and disagree. Nobody can refrain from arguing entirely. If you go on any forum, on any website. Hell if go into any school or workplace in the real world, you're gonna find people who dislike eachother and people who argue. There's no stopping it entirely.

However I do agree with you that things here do blow out of all proportion at times. Whether it be due to language and cultural differences, different views, or an age gap (I hate to say it but most teens that I've come across on or offline like to think they're right a lot of the time, and if they're proved wrong they get uppity about it).

I agree that things get way out of hand. If someone criticises your art-work or stories, your ideas, your beliefs, your flippin' grammar and spelling: WHY GIVE A DAMN!? Don't get all upset about it, accept that it's a difference in views, and if the criticism is constructive then use it! Personally I'd love to be told if my grammar and so on was off the mark so that I can better myself, rather than carry on in ignorant folly and look like an idiot.

What I do NOT want to see on this board EVER, is someone outright bullying another member (this thankfully has not happened).

So in conclusion. Accept the fact that some of you are gonna hate other members guts. Accept the fact that unless they break the rules they're staying here so suck it up! And for Goodness sake if you have to tear someone a new one, do it in this part of the forum or in a PM. We don't want to have to watch your infantile little bitch fights!

(Wow that ended a bit angrier than intended... before anyone starts whining it's as Orgun said: this thread is for all of you, not posted to anyone in particular, got it?)

Yeah I understand its human nature to argue from time to time but is it human nature to go stupid when they disagree with something and then spew crap all over a good thread instead of actually moving here?
Im not demanding that everyone should get along, my word isn't law, what I would appreciate from others is that they consider other people and not ruin a thread.

mods of semi-offical forums always have the luxery of banning or blocking for a while those trouble starters.

My opinion: i love it when it gets rough, have at it as its no skin of my back.

Seriously...pick your battles.

There's someone on this board right now I don't care much for, and that person probably doesn't even know, or why I'd dislike them, but it stems from something done all the way back on the old Temple.

But unless that person ends up doing the same thing all over again, then it's best to leave it in the past and move on.

Pick your battles? Wtf, why not just avoid them completely?
Also why bring up the fact you don't like someone, that really doesn't have any point to this thread. What this thread is meant to do is bring to light that there are too many arguments popping up for no reason, so what you don't like someone though I must admit I find it sad that you hold a grudge over something for so long.

I've had my probs with certain members but I never hold a grudge.

Thank you GG, thats a point I'd like to know, if you can ban people for short periods if they ignore a warning over an argumet, why isn't it done?
Course Im sure Im going to get a lovely comment over that one about how mods don't want to seem like Rule Nazi's, but then again mods are there as law keepers.

If I seem somewhat hard here then ohwell, I just want somethings answered and for some people to realise that they're bickering is annoying a few members.

Lastly, Yutu if you think your being targeted by this thread your not, your not special. Just figured you'd like to know that seeing as your last post in the chat thread seemed to indicate you felt people were reminding you about bad things you've done.

This bit I've just added when I saw Icarus's post.
Icarus, don't you bloody start, I don't want an argument in this thread, if you must complain then write more then "Oh, please".

I know I'm not special, but I don't need anyone telling me that.

Right this thread is going off point but fine Yutu you deserve this in my opinion.

Your constant negative outlook on pretty much everything is to be frank annoying, no one can say anything without worrying that you'll go emo and hurt yourself. Your attitude om everything said stinks, if someone says something about you or suggests something you go off on one saying their right or wrong or whatever and then end it with something negative. You can turn anything into an insult towards you, and imo you can't seem to NOT put some sort of insult into a reply.

There I said it.

I find it amusing how a thread complaining about too many people arguing is already starting up a whole new set of arguements, irony is a bitch! ;P

Orgun, we're there as law keepers but we do have to make allowances. These people are our friends as well as 'mere' fellow members. Which makes it harder to ban people when we're such a small tight knit community, in larger communities there is a sense of anonimity that makes it easier for admins to disciplin people.

Not only that but we all believe in the idea of 'freedom of speech'. This makes it a little harder yet again. Say someone said or did something that one or two people find offensive, but others find funny: Would you ban that person just because they were practising their freedom of speech, and a few people whined about it? (Though things like racism should be taken seriously of course).

Icarus, Yutu, please don't start. We listen to you both and we respect your wishes. We understand that you might feel a bit low, but it's no reason to makes sarcastic comments or take it out on other members. If you want to talk about it, then talk, don't just make cryptic 'woe is me' remarks to make people feel guilty or sorry for you. Sorry if that sounded harsh.

Just wanted to chime in one thing.

This kind of thing happens everywhere. It's just part of human nature. Other people do not think like you do, other people do not act like you do. Friction will occur. Instead of trying to police everyone into playing nice (moderation), instead let the two parties involved go duke it out in a corner. Then you get to see which person is more mature. If someone really has to show that they have a bigger penis, and must be an arrogant bastard about it, other people should notice. I wouldn't want to associate myself with that arrogant bastard. It's just not worth my time to argue over certain things past a certain point. After a while, there's no point.

As I've said I know there will be disagreements, I just wish that those involved brought it here. Though your comment is appreciated CAD.

Fair enough Ems, I suppose I over react to squabbles when I see them. In the old forums I use to visit when I was a mod I kinda had a low tolerence for trouble makers even if I knew them. Still I did give them a chance usually by taking them into a specific section of the forum and getting it sorted.

Try to remain calm GG, we don't need the weak removed just yet.

...You guys are funny. Hey, anyone seen the Hitman movie lately? I did, today. Hmm... Suggesting some of you go at it in a small closed in room filled with obstacle-like objects to go at it with some of those Hitman weapons. That'll help you're frustrations!

Xanry the f***ing wise man strikes again.

Xanry I have to say your one grade A retard, thats got to be one of the most pointless and spastic replies I have ever seen in my time on the net.
As hard as it may be try to refrain from posting something like that again, thanks.

Awww nah I just like picking at people's crap and weaknesses. Or stuff..Sometimes... I've been told sometimes that when I reply to somebody saying "good afternoon" I can be an ass. *Smiling, tips his tophat* "Fuck'a you sir." Soo... I dunno. If you HATE Hitman... OR just the idea of my awesome "I'm feeling a little pissed today, I think I'll cap your ass...no with a f***ing spray of bullets, not bottle caps!!" then I will take my business elsewhere. *gathers papers and closes briefcase*. Goof day to you!

Don't think I ever mentioned this before, but some week ago I had this meaningless dream where I confronted some man who had a habbit of killing people; this person had a collection of weapons. Not remembering well every specific sentence detail and situation, I approached him and asked (paraphrasing by memory): "Why do you shoot people? Is there a reason why?"
Picking up a handgun pointing it at my direction he replies with a smirk smile: "I just feel like doing it!"
No morals, no point to the story from top of my head; all 'cept I.Will.Kill that biatch, using his own arm.

Ok done.

Xanry just shut-the-fuck-up, your a prick end of story so please take your bullshit somewhere else.
I created this thread for mature people not some 12 year old ghetto gangster wannabe who thinks that guns are cool.
If you do decide to prove that your an even bigger prick then I first thought and reply again I will ask for you to be removed.

Orgun, its understandable that you would feel this way, that it does, we all fight every now and then, I know I have cause my fair share of Drama in the past and for me it is something that comes back to haunt my rememory every now and then.

Though most here feel or wish themselves to be mewtwo, we can not forget that we're still human and fighting and agumenting is something that we tend to do to one another simple for the fact of socializing, if we all think about our friend and family I'm sure we all have had our spats with them about silly stuff, things like that just happen. A good way to look at it is a way to learn and understand people and not a way to think lowly about them. Conflict with a friend is usually a trying thing expecially if it is with someone you love, it just happen, the question is how you deal with it.

I haven't been around the Temple for a while to get a good understanding about some of the most resecent drama to come around and hump the door step of the ToM, but I bet it is no different then how most of them are, One persome says something that the other person doesnt' agree with, at this point is where the conflict usually begins, I do know this often happens with people that like to speak there mind, and often have no care about the feelings of others, those who feel there always in the right to say something, or just those that like to be assholes, we'll just have to deal with it when the time comes, but deal with it using a cool head.

It never pays to get into a fight all pissed off, and you have to remember these are just letters on a screen that post ideas and thoughts from other minds it isn't from then phiscally, so from time and time agian, as with all human mind we do make misstake and say or post the wrong things, these are thing that people should get bent out of shap about but it happens.

Orgun, if you look at the conflict between you an Xanry, it can be used as a good example.

ToM is like my home on the net, and y'all are like a family to me, I'm sure i'm not the only one that feels that way, We all have our bad days, but it is when it come to taking responsebility for what do sometimes is the hard part, it is easy to start a fight... but it is hard to say we're sorry.

*Shrugs* Oh well.

If we are family then I guess that old anaology must come into play 'You can choose your friends, but you can't choose your family'. Lol. We all like being here and none of us are leaving just because of a few disagreements. We have to try and get along and just avoid speaking to those who grind our nerves.

[QUOTE=emsiecat;17166]'You can choose your friends, but you can't choose your family'QUOTE]

heheh, if you look at the similarity that can be ture about ToM for the most part or any other Forum that we all may be apart of, that it can. I mean you can chose most of the new comers to the temples, that you can't, it is up to all of use to make them feel like there at home here the best we can, and you fights will happen.... just got to shrug them off after there done and act like they never happen. You can't go on hating everone or a few ppl just cause of something that happen in the past, that you can't it don'ts solve any problems... it just makes them worst.

Im calmer now, I simply ignore the arguments which thankfully appear to becoming rare but the thing I have with Xanry won't settle. His attitude and totally pointless posts drive me up the wall. Now I would forgive and forget but that....that muppet proved himself a fool by posting the two retarded replies in this thread.
