Few formatting things and a few rules to take care of.
Formatting: In the subject line of your RPG or at the very beginning of the post, you need to inform the user of the type of role play(strict, traditional, or free-roaming), rating(pg,pg-13,R,NC-17), and a descriptive name.
Rules: First off, let me say it's the game masters job to improvise in order to keep the storyline along what they had planned. If your going to GM, please be willing to deviate from what you had exactly planned. Its best just to plan a beginning and an end.
Coversley, it is considered rude to go in guns ablazing(figuratiely speaking). Godmodding NPCs, however, while annoying, should be able to be handled by the GM. Unless the NPCs are important figures in the RP.
When in doubt, be discreet and follow the GMs lead. Try not to deviate to much from the original story. Obviously the GM isn't going to tell where its going but you should at least avoid turning one RP into a completely different one.
Advice for GMs: I'm a fan of the D20 system by Wizards of the Coast. The best way to keep people from going over what they can and cannot do, is to use statistics. Granted we don't have a base for Mewtwo in D20 Modern, you should at least be somewhat familiar with the players' abilities. If they haven't posted any profile in that specific section, please ask them to do so by way of Private Message.
If your just starting a story, its my advice to not plan anything but a beginning, a couple keystones for the plot, and an end. Your playing with many other people with many different backgrounds so having a strict framework isn't always the best idea.
Players: Please be sure not to go off and do something else in the middle of an RP. If you want to do something else, just start your own Role Play.
Hope this has been informative.
